Jacqueline De Monte
Of Italian origins, I was born in Paris, and grows up between Italy and France. Upon meeting Valentino, I was easily captivated by his African stories and happily accepted a new adventure 1995 to move to Africa, in Namibia. Falling in love for the African wilderness and its people, finding here a passion for ornithology and photography. I have been leading intimate tour groups and have organized and led film crews documenting the life of the Himba people and bushmen hunters in Namibia for the Italian television RAI and presenter Alberto Angela.
Together with Valentino, we have published our coffee table book “ Terra d’Africa”, a collection of images representing the African wilderness. I’m deeply convinced that this creative instrument can convey emotions that can contribute to help its safeguard.
